New York, NY — October 14, 2025 — WeWork today announced that it was recognized by the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), recognized as the 2025 Large Company Turnaround/Transaction of the Year.
The Transaction of the Year Awards recognize the most successful turnarounds and impactful transactions across the industry and are selected through a rigorous peer-review process. WeWork’s restructuring, which eliminated more than $4 billion in debt, was confirmed by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey in May 2024, and the company successfully emerged from chapter 11 the following month.
“This recognition underscores the tremendous progress we’ve made to position WeWork for sustainable, long-term growth,” said John Santora, Chief Executive Officer of WeWork. “It is a testament to the resilience of our team, our partners, and our community, all of whom believed in WeWork’s future.”
The 2025 TMA Turnaround and Transaction of the Year Awards will be presented on October 16 at the TMA Annual Conference in New Orleans.
