Flatiron School is opening a campus in Dallas, its second location in Texas. This will mark Flatiron School’s ninth new location since joining The We Company in 2017.
Based in New York, Flatiron School has already helped thousands of students start software-engineering careers through online courses and in-person classes in New York, Houston, London, Seattle, Atlanta, Denver, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. It also runs the Brooklyn-based Access Labs, designed to make coding classes more accessible to lower-income people.
The Dallas campus will debut at WeWork Thanksgiving Tower. Dallas is home to the third-largest number of Fortune 500 companies. More than 100,000 tech jobs have been created there over the last year alone. This made the city a natural fit for Flatiron School.
“The innovative model for education attracted me to Flatiron School,” said Lincoln Stephens, the new location’s campus director. “Dallas is my home, and the people in it my community. Flatiron is here, and I’m here, to work with the community and make sure that all passionate students in our city have the opportunity to find and thrive in a career they love.”
Flatiron’s Dallas campus will offer a software-engineering immersive course beginning May 13. Students get career counseling, and if they don’t receive a job offer within six months of graduation they’re eligible for a full tuition refund.
