NEW YORK, May 5, 2022 – WeWork, one of the leading global flexible space providers, has announced that WeWork On Demand – the company’s pay-as-you-go product that provides access to workspace and meeting rooms by the hour or day – is now available in select locations across Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Sweden, The Czech Republic, The Netherlands and three additional locations in Canada, expanding the product to 39 additional locations.
To help support new ways of working, marked by global shifts towards flexible or hybrid work models, the company launched WeWork On Demand in New York City in 2020 and has since expanded the product to 64 markets around the world. As WeWork’s most flexible offering, users have the ability to choose how they work by booking available workspace through the company’s iPhone and Android apps, with no long-term commitment required. As a result of this expansion, users can now leverage WeWork On Demand at 39 additional locations across 14 cities, growing the total number of On Demand accessible locations to more than 300 globally.
Samit Chopra, President & COO, WeWork, said: “The world of work has transformed dramatically over the past two years, accelerating workforce trends and behaviours that would have otherwise taken decades. WeWork On Demand helps address the growing interest of accessing ‘third spaces’ between home and office, with dedicated and inspiring workspace and meeting colleagues on-the-go, without a long-term commitment.”
Since WeWork On Demand’s first international expansion last year, international bookings show that 84% of users are utilising the product to quickly find a dedicated workspace – in addition to arranging in-person meetings or securing rooms to collaborate with their teams. With over a third of users in international markets booking space more than once a month, WeWork On Demand offers an optimal solution for workers to access flexible workspace on their own time.
This second international expansion reflects WeWork On Demand’s robust global growth, illustrating the increasing need for individuals to seamlessly access touchdown workspaces around the world. Monthly usage of WeWork On Demand has quadrupled in international markets since the product’s international debut last year.
