Seoul, South Korea – 12 August 2024 – WeWork, a leading global flexible space provider, today announced that Hyundai Motor Company, the South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer, has taken over 74,000 sq ft of space at WeWork Seolleung and 3,700 sq ft at WeWork Gangnam Station in Seoul, to host its growing workforce, and is equipping its employees with 1,000 WeWork All Access passes, for additional flexibility. This move illustrates WeWork’s capability to meet the diverse needs of major corporations.
Building on its legacy of success and to support its future innovations, Hyundai has adopted an in-person workplace strategy where employees work from the office five days a week; aiming to bolster company culture, support productivity levels and empower teams to do their best work together. Both WeWork Seolleung and WeWork Gangnam Station offer a diverse range of workspace from collaborative space to quiet corners for heads down tasks. Complementing Hyundai’s global presence, WeWork All Access enables employees who are traveling internationally to drop in to hundreds of WeWork locations across the globe; ideal for hosting client meetings and to support flexible working on the go.
Claudio Hidalgo, COO, WeWork says “We are delighted to welcome Hyundai – and its hundreds of employees – to WeWork. Through the combination of WeWork space and All Access passes, we look forward to delivering the comprehensive workplace solutions that Hyundai needed to ensure an exceptional – and consistent – employee experience. This partnership reaffirms WeWork’s unique ability to power forward-thinking workplace strategies on a global scale. We’re proud to continue to be the partner of choice for established and growing companies who value dynamic workspace.”
Opening in 2016, WeWork Gangnam Station was WeWork’s first location in Seoul, situated in one of the busiest and most vibrant areas of the city. WeWork Seolleung is located in the heart of Teheran-ro, often called the ‘Silicon Valley’ of Korea, where WeWork has 19 locations in total. Combining thoughtful, dynamic and inspiring design to meet the needs of the modern worker, both locations are ideal for both large enterprises and growing startups who are prioritizing an energized and well-designed work environment.
