WeWork Oskar-von-Miller-Ring 20

Munich, Germany – December 5, 2024 – WeWork, a leading global flexible space provider, today announced the transformation of its Oskar-von-Miller-Ring 20 location in Munich, as part of its ongoing commitment to reinvest in its portfolio and elevate member experiences. Originally opened in 2018, the space has been reimagined to reflect the company’s latest standards in flexible workspaces, seamlessly blending cutting-edge design with functionality to create a premium environment crafted to meet the evolving needs of today’s workforce.

The refurbishment was completed in two phases, beginning in mid-2024 and culminating this December. Renovations have transformed the second and third floors into flexible spaces designed to inspire productivity and foster collaboration. The ground and first floors were refreshed with lighting upgrades, new carpets, enhanced barista and pantry spaces, acoustic improvements, and advanced security features. Across the building, WeWork has elevated the workspace experience, adding more All Access areas, improved meeting rooms, and introducing specialized features like a podcast room and two upgraded event spaces.

Reimagined Design with a Local, Member-Centric Vision

Oskar-von-Miller-Ring 20’s redesign is inspired by the concept of “Radical Patina,” blending warmth and sophistication into a contemporary workplace. This design philosophy integrates natural materials such as timber and rich red surfaces with layered lighting to create an atmosphere that is not only visually stunning but also thoughtfully designed to foster a comfortable and welcoming environment. Regional influences and meticulous architectural details enhance the space’s unique character, providing members with a high-end experience that reflects the location’s functional yet comfortable atmosphere.

Ebbie Wisecarver, Chief Design Officer at WeWork, said: “At WeWork, design is about crafting spaces that work harder for our members. Oskar-von-Miller-Ring 20 perfectly embodies this approach where timeless design integrates seamlessly with the needs of modern professionals. The space is designed to foster focus, collaboration, and innovation, while offering a premium experience. This project also reflects our commitment to continuously adapt our workspaces to meet the evolving demands of today’s workforce, all while celebrating the unique local influences that make each WeWork location distinctive.”

A Strategic Commitment to the Future of Work

This renovation underscores WeWork’s ongoing focus on reinvesting in its spaces to better serve its members and adapt to a rapidly evolving market. By transforming this flagship location, the company is not only setting a new benchmark for the flexible workspace industry but also reinforcing its dedication to delivering high-value environments that provide a unique, elevated experience for its members.

Rebecca Nachanakian, General Manager for Continental Europe, commented: “The transformation of Oskar-von-Miller-Ring 20 underscores WeWork’s strategic focus on reinvesting in its spaces to create environments that elevate the member experience while adding value for our landlord partners.
