Los Angeles, CA – January 20, 2023 – Recess, a leading experiential marketing platform, today announced the launch of a sales and technology partnership with WeWork that brings nearly 200 WeWork locations into its network. The partnership will leverage WeWork communities to help brands reach business professionals in flexible workspaces.
Recess will serve as the exclusive experiential platform partner for WeWork, the leading global flexible space provider, allowing brands to access turnkey sampling and on-site engagement opportunities in nearly 200 United States WeWork locations. The Recess partnership will allow business owners to reach WeWork audiences by easily booking partnership opportunities at one, multiple, or all available WeWork locations through its intuitive and simple self-service platform. The Recess and WeWork partnership allows brands to reach millions of working professionals and visitors in an authentic way via onsite activations. Brands can also amplify their experiential partnership with on-site, digital, social media and email marketing opportunities with the WeWork team.
“We’re thrilled to partner with WeWork to streamline their experiential partnerships booking and management and bring their audience and more than 200 locations into our network of premium event and venue partnership opportunities,” says Jack Shannon, Co-Founder and CEO of Recess. “Experiential Marketing is one of the most effective marketing tactics and provides an elevated engagement experience to consumers. Brands can leverage the WeWork partnership to easily launch activations across hundreds of locations without the expense of staffing events themselves or through an agency. Recess gives brands access to authentic connections with WeWork’s highly valuable community, ranging from startup entrepreneurs to large enterprise companies. They are shaping the future, and now there is a way for brands to speak to them.”
Rebecca Graf, Head of Ancillary Revenue for WeWork says, “WeWork is built on the very principle of innovation and creating inspiring, flexible spaces to foster the future of work. Our partnership with Recess allows us to provide additional high-quality engagement opportunities to our communities, and allows our members to experience some of the best brands in a turnkey way.”
Many high-profile brands have already capitalized on Recess and WeWork’s work together, including Pepsi, Milk Bar, Health-Ade, Sierra Nevada and more. Milk Bar uses Recess to target sampling opportunities at WeWork offices near key retailers and uses coupons to drive retail purchases.
“The buyer saw that we supported the brand by identifying new ways to drive consumers to the store. I am happy that I found a platform like Recess to help our brand trial perishable products, reach new target consumers and build key retailer relationships,” said Renee Fuller, Milk Bar’s Senior Director of Marketing.
“Recess provides a solution that makes building awareness and trial for new products in a user-friendly interface, which makes it easy for me and my team to build our brand at scale,” said Amanda Swisher, Health-Ade’s Senior Trade and Field Marketing Manager.
Since July 2021, Recess has generated more than 2,000 partnerships with 40 brands across nearly 200 WeWork offices. By solidifying the partnership, brands now also have the opportunity to become exclusive annual category partners integrated into WeWork locations around key moments of office life.
