New York, NY – November 13, 2024 – WeWork, a leading global flexible space provider, and Firstbase, a provider of remote infrastructure for global teams, today announced a new partnership to support the modern, distributed workforce. Firstbase customers can now include a WeWork All Access monthly membership in their employee onboarding package, providing remote workers with flexible coworking spaces to help them perform at their best.
By joining forces, WeWork and Firstbase aim to equip dispersed teams with the resources they need to position their employees for success. WeWork All Access will provide Firstbase’s global network of customers—comprising hundreds of companies and over 40,000 workers across 150 countries—with the flexibility to work from more than 450 WeWork locations worldwide. This access will accommodate individual work preferences, as well as provide physical spaces that foster collaboration and productivity. In fact, 68% of decision-makers in a recent WeWork survey stated that maintaining office space is essential—whether for employees who cannot work from home (33%), those who prefer being in the office (35%), or for promoting well-being and mental health (29%).*
“Firstbase’s innovative platform aligns perfectly with our mission to provide flexible workspace solutions that empower the modern worker,” said Luke Armstrong, Vice President, Head of International Sales at WeWork. “By incorporating WeWork All Access into Firstbase’s onboarding package, we are enabling companies to better support their dispersed teams with workspaces optimized for efficiency and collaboration. This partnership puts flexibility at the forefront of today’s evolving workforce, enabling companies to set a workplace strategy that fits their employees’ unique needs.”
Chris Herd, Chief Executive Officer at Firstbase, said, “Partnering with WeWork allows us to take our commitment to improving the distributed work experience to the next level. In giving our customers access to WeWork’s world-class spaces, we’re providing the flexibility today’s workers need to excel. Through this collaboration, we’re offering a comprehensive solution that bridges the gap between remote efficiency and the physical spaces employees need to connect and innovate together.”
On November 14, the companies will host a webinar where Chris Herd, Founder and CEO of Firstbase, and Jennifer Perrotta, Chief Product & Technology Officer at WeWork, will discuss how best to equip remote and dispersed teams for success. More information on the partnership can be found here.
