Singapore, 6 September 2022 — WeWork, the leading global flexible space provider, today launched its largest location in the Pacific region right in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District (CBD). Named WeWork 21 Collyer Quay, the flexible workspace occupies all 21 floors in the former HSBC headquarters, and boasts a net lettable area of more than 220,000 square feet.
WeWork 21 Collyer Quay is one of the company’s global flagship assets. The building features fully furnished shared and private office spaces, living-room-style collaboration work lounges, an auditorium, a business centre and a sky bar offering panoramic views of the Singapore skyline. Amenities also include a wellness centre operated by dedicated fitness provider Just Jym, a cafe operated by leading health and wellness focused cafe The Living Cafe, and a barista station run by Sarnies.
WeWork 21 Collyer Quay is also designed to support the enterprise business segment, which is made up of large multinational companies and Fortune 500 companies. As a key driver of WeWork Singapore’s businesses, enterprise companies typically take up full floors that include large offices, dedicated workspaces, meeting rooms, phone booths and collaborative spaces. WeWork members in this iconic Grade A building will also have access to an unobstructed line of sight to the pristine Marina Bay area.
The unveiling of the company’s 14th location in Singapore underscores its growth strategy and plans to strengthen its market position in Singapore and the region. In Q2 2022, WeWork tracked a 30 percent growth in revenue and a 25 point increase in occupancy in Singapore, year-on-year. This is consistent with WeWork’s Q2 2022 performance internationally where the company saw a 36 percent increase in revenue and 27 point jump in occupancy compared to Q2 2021.
Samit Chopra, President & COO, International (EMEA & Pacific), WeWork, said, “Singapore is a key market for WeWork and continues to be an attractive regional hub for large enterprises looking to establish a presence in Asia. As business leaders rethink their workplace strategies, the opening of WeWork 21 Collyer Quay will address both their needs to optimize their real estate commitments; as well as the evolving demand for dynamic workplace experiences. We are excited to partner with businesses to support their advancement; in alignment with their business objectives, both in Singapore and regionally.”
Existing members at WeWork 21 Collyer Quay include global risk management and advisory company Willis Towers Watson (WTW), and Capital C Corporation, a Singapore-based financial services provider.
Apart from enterprise floors, WeWork 21 Collyer Quay also caters to smaller private offices ranging from 1 – 49 pax as well as flexible options such as All Access, a monthly subscription which allows members to unlock any WeWork location in the world and On Demand, a pay-as-you-go solution to access nearby WeWork meeting rooms and workspaces when needed.
Balder Tol, General Manager, Australia and Southeast Asia, WeWork, said, “WeWork 21 Collyer Quay was built during a time of transition where we experienced a major shift in the way we work including the mass adoption of hybrid work arrangements and shifting employee preferences. This has thus allowed us to elevate our design philosophy; to include spaces and amenities that highlight how flexibility, functionality and well-being can converge to enhance employee experience and productivity. I am thrilled to see how this flagship asset will play a part in shaping the future of work in Singapore.”
WeWork 21 Collyer Quay’s full suite of facilities are now available to all members, who can learn more here or take a virtual tour of the space here.
