WeWork opens its new space in Madrid, at 36 Calle de Goya

MADRID, June 12, 2023 – WeWork Inc. (NYSE: WE), the leading global flexible space provider, today announced the opening of its latest location in Madrid, at 36 Calle de Goya. This is the fourth WeWork space in the capital and the tenth in Spain.

A thoughtfully designed location in one of Madrid’s most prestigious districts

Opening on June 30th, WeWork 36 Calle de Goya is located in Madrid’s elegant Salamanca district in the center of the city, a hot spot for entrepreneurs and global enterprises alike.

Rebecca Nachanakian, General Manager for WeWork Southern Europe, Benelux and Nordics, says: 36 Calle Goya confirms our commitment to Madrid, a vibrant and diverse  city with a rich history as a hub for financial institutions, multinational corporations, art, and innovation. As working habits have changed drastically in recent years, with the rise of hybrid models, remote working and digital nomadism, we’re delighted to offer our Madrid community a new space in a booming neighborhood that’s as rich in local culture and shops as it is well served and conducive to connecting businesses of all sizes.”

With 42,000sq ft spread over 7 floors, WeWork 36 Calle de Goya will be home to members and future members of all sizes, from start-ups and SMBs to large corporations. The space will offer a wide variety of mixed use workspace, from bookable offices and private offices to suites and full floors, as well as space for members using WeWork All Access, the company’s monthly subscription that provides access to hundreds of WeWork locations worldwide, and WeWork On Demand, which offers pay-as-you-go access to workspaces and meeting rooms in over 320 locations globally.

A minimalist aesthetic, a nod to the neighborhood’s haute couture heritage

As with every building, WeWork 36 Calle de Goya speaks to what WeWork does at its core: create inspiring working environments in which employees feel empowered and productive.

Striking a balance between functional, flexible and thoughtful design to cater to hybrid work models, 36 Calle de Goya is characterized by sleek materials and minimalist design elements. The interior identity is defined by details, from motifs inspired by local architecture to vintage furniture, a nod to the neighborhood’s heritage. The main color palette is neutral and calm, and the building’s soft-toned backdrop and subtle splashes of color from the furniture and artwork enhance the space as a welcoming place for all types of business.
